Real Time Radiography X-Ray Inspection
Setpoint has created non destructive testing and inspection equipment that are capable of processing parts with a 3 second cycle time; while utilizing automated part on and off load. By using filmless Real Time Radiography X-Ray Inspection, each part is verified for accurate assembly. An electrical test also provides a non destructive test to ensure the compliance of each part.
The inspection process takes place in a certified lead lined x-ray containment cabinet to maintain safety. This turn-key system is customizable for multiple parts within a family size, ensuring complete assembly and electrical compliance of each individual part. The filmless x-ray images and related data can be archived to DVDs or a network drive for storage for later use.
This lean manufacturing system has a compact footprint for easy integration into any new or existing production line. The Real Time Radiography machine follows lean automation practices by maintaining nest integrity ensuring that no parts will be placed in a bad nest as well as combining the testing and inspection processes into one machine using fewer workers.
